Among the four rock carving relics of world’s human heritage located in China,Yungang, Longmen and Dunhuang Grottoes, Dazu Rock Carvings is the only onelocates in South China. The four relics are commonly considered to be the world’s toprock carving arts between9-13, AD, like four monuments to announce the great ancienthuman civilization of human being. Along with the development of tour industry inChina all of these relics have become awesome attractions to catch the eyes andattention of travelers from both the domestic and overseas. In this paper the authorcarries a study of how to make use of the benefits of local social and natural featuresand resources around Dazu Rock Carvings, including bud not limited to, the world’sbiggest city in population, to sharp the relics brand to the next level as a topinternational attraction destination for travelers. In consideration of the author it isessential for the city to have a world’s top tour scene so as to match her fame and tohave the silent ancient scenery to make a noise to light the life of people today.However up to now there is seldom research paper upon the object which can present usa deeply systematic study. Based on a deep on-site study the author in this paper underthe cutting-edge international theory of tourism development present readers how toimprove the current existing of the scenic spot including development within the resort,marketing and promotion and sustainable development. The author shows readersthere is a typical imbalance growth among all spots within the resort, and problem ofbehind tourism product development, weak infrastructure, traffic bottleneck,inadequate management, uneven means of marketing, weak brand image marketing,narrow resource positioning, uneven condition between supply and demand, and thekind, which show readers a good overall perspective of issues existed and how toovercome those so as to have the attraction to develop to the next advanced level in thelate part of the paper. The author uses a coinage, a term,“city of Buddha” to a describewhat she intends to express for the design for development of the scenery, focusingparticularly the feathers of the source that is monopoly, irreplaceability and non-imitation to attach more attention to follow up sustainable development, to matchnational economic growth conditions, to protect the human cultural diversity, to facewith the complexity and uniqueness, to go on a road of even development to maximizeits cultural and economic values.
