The Relationship Between Tourism Development And Cultural Heritage Protection

China has a rich cultural heritage. Along with the socio-economic progression, cultural heritage has becoming an important resource for bolstering the development of the tourism sector. However, regional development of its heritage to the overdraft has damaged cultural heritage inordinately and there have been serious contradictions and conflictions. Therefore, how to understand and deal with the relationship has been a hot topic in the field of heritage protection and tourism development for a long time.Some academics believe that while tourism development fund for heritage protection, it is often overexploitation and mismanagement of the damage on the estate; the others stress that tourism development play a positive role of heritage protection. Unlike emphasizing positive or negative effects, lots of scholars consider they are auxiliary to each other, promoted by each other, and they will be "win-win" as long as proper measures. On the whole, most of researchers are exploring the issue theoretically, and few of them study the relationship from an individual case.Be known as cultural heritage sites, the scenic spot of Mount Dapi in Hebi has its own special natural and humanities view. There are 1 state-level protection unit 10(Giant Stone Buddha),8 provincial heritage conservation unit.The Giant Stone Buddha, drilled in the Northern Qi Dynasty and finished at the early Tang Dynasty, is the earliest and biggest cliff stone in Central Plain. And there have stone inscriptions of history, calligraphy and culture of high-value. It is the National 4A Famous Scenic Sites and has a high tour development value. This paper takes the scenic spot of Mount Dapi in Hebi as the example to explore the relationship between tourism development and the preservation of culture heritages. Summarizing the outstanding cultural heritage in the spot, pointing out some existed problems and advancing the countermeasures through the investigation and analysis on present.To treat on the cultural heritage, tour development should always insist the principle "protection is the first". At correct understanding the special of inheritance resources and fitting current China national condition, by perfecting law system, improving decision-making mechanism, establishing supervision system, prioritizing conservation funds and carrying out heritage education for all, we can coordinate the relationship and get them back on the right track.
