Research On Innovative Development Of Henan Culture Heritage Tourism

Heritage tourism, an important branch of tourism research, is gradually showing a rapid growth trend in recent years. Taking cultural relics and historic sites resources as the main tourist attraction, cultural heritage tourism has been the most active one in cultural tourism forms, as well as an important factor in promoting the rapid development of world tourism. On the other hand, as one of the major cradles of Chinese culture, the underground artifacts, collections of cultural relics and key units of Henan rank first respectively in the country; half of the eight national ancient capitals are in Henan as well; what’s more,78Surnames of Chinese surnames roots in the Central Plains; which provides a unique condition for the development of Henan cultural heritage tourism.In October2011, the Central Plains Economic Zone rose to national strategies, presenting a rare historical opportunity to the development of Henan tourism. It is imperative to carry out cultural heritage tourism, given that tourism" is expected to have a greater responsibility and role in the construction of the Central Plains Economic Zone". Culture is the soul of tourism, and tourism is the carrier of culture. Sustainable development of cultural heritage tourism is the key for Henan to leapfrog from the province of tourism resources to the province of tourist industry. Therefore, the value and importance of the research on the sustainable development of Henan culture heritage tourism is self-evident.This paper argued that cultural heritage tourism, taking cultural traditions and cultural relics as the main tourist attraction, is a particular form of cultural tourism activities to appreciate the landscape and cultural atmosphere in the heritage locations, Which regards the protection of cultural heritages as the basic precondition. Henan is rich in cultural heritage resources, which are of outstanding value. The development of Henan cultural tourism is notably characterized by the increasingly more attention, diversification of development models and strengthening efforts in development, but there still exist some problems, such as excessive commercialization, the blind pursuit of short-term benefits and disqualification of heritage management and planning staff, which to a great extent restricted the sustainable development of Henan cultural heritage tourism.On the foundation of the theories of innovation, heritage activation and sustainable development, the paper analyzed the necessity and feasibility of Henan Cultural Heritage Tourism Innovation Development. By learning from the typical practice of cultural heritage tourism development experience, combined with the actual situation of Henan province, this paper elaborated principles and elements of innovative developments of cultural heritage tourism, and then its innovative ideas, methods and safeguards to were discussed. Finally, based on the example of the Shaolin scenic areas in Mt Song, this paper made a detailed analysis and tried to put forward the strategies of its innovative development.
