In this paper, we expound the production logistics system of Taiyuan Iron and SteelGroup Company in detail. Surrounding production logistics, we make a study in aspects oflogistics and logistics costs’ summary, technology of Taiyuan Iron and Steel Company,present situation and problems of its logistics, control and improvement of logistics costsand logistics management prospect, and put forward corresponding measures for itsimprovement.At first, we state the research background of this issue, describe basic situation ofTaiyuan Iron and Steel Group Company and its advantages, discuss its main manufacturingsequences in detail, such as mining system, coking system and rolling material system. Wemake an analysis on company’s purchase logistics management system, productionlogistics management system, marketing logistics management system from perspectives oflogistics business operation mode, logistics organization, evaluation on logistics operationperformance using in manufacturing enterprise, and make a statement and analysis onproblems of logistics system. We propose methods of integration of logistics managementstrategy, enterprise logistics outsourcing(third party logistics) strategy and innovating inenterprise’s logistics management organization to improve insufficient such as the serviceof logistics, unreasonable of logistics facilities layout planning, logistics equipment’s lowlevel, backward management, low degree of logistics information, unreasonablearrangement of logistics management administration. We verify that the improvingmethods and cost optimization measures are feasible and effective through example.
