As an important part of tourism products, tourism specialties have acertain impact on tourist shopping.Since tourism specialty is a symbol ofindigenes’ custom, tourists always pay attention to it and buy it fortheir relatives as a gift. But the tourism market has many deficiencies,such as confusing price, instable quality, harsh packaging, mostproducers make tourism specialty in individual workshops, they havelittle competitive power because there is no strict rules for processingand quality control. So it is necessary to establish a practicalevaluation system for tourism specialty. This system may point out theimportant factors which could have been ignored in specialtymanufacturing, so as to increase sales and then enlarge its influence. Wecan standardize the tourism market in this way and help to develop newproducts.1. Besides analyzing the tourism shopping history both in and out ofChina, the paper points out the existing problems in domestic tourismshopping and indicates the important position of specialty marketing intourism shopping. The paper also discusses the contemporary condition ofthe domestic specialty market, and then analyzes the necessity andmeaning of the local product evaluation based on this discussion.2. At the beginning, the paper expounds the related concepts,characteristics and principles of tourist commodities, local specialtiesand its evaluation system, and then analyzes the steps and methodologiesof the local specialties evaluation through the operability of thissystem. After this, the paper makes up the evaluating process by makingup evaluating criteria, determining index weight, resource integration,grade scoring, feedback and so on. 3. According to the modern market theory, a certain local specialty isdivided into three parts in order that the department of producing,marketing and so on to check its operating situation. Then based on thismethod and putting together the influencing factors which were putforward before, the paper use the AHP theory to make up the index systemfor evaluating the local products, and then quantifying the index weightaccording to the characteristics of the tourism product, and score thetourism operation situation of the native products in reference to theappraisal list of the local product standards. Divide the tourismproducts into four grades in the end, determine the local products’grade, and then make up the evaluating model of the tourism product.4. Use the evaluating pattern of tourism product to evaluate thetypical local product in Qinhu scenic in Jiangsu, build judging matrix,arrange a hierarchy list, make a conformance test, and then make ahierarchy ordering, get the synthetic weight of every factor, analyze andsolve the problems, quantify the influencing factors, grade the localproduct according to the standard.The paper sets the local products in Qinhu scenic in Jiangsu as anexample, and then makes an investigation, obtains the results of dataanalysis. These results can fit the local products operation condition,thus confirms the effectiveness of the tourism products evaluating system.
