Political and ideological work has made significant contribution to the petroleum companies during the past decades. The main reason is that most of the petroleum companies have traditions that seeing political and ideological work as premier. However, with the continuously development of companies, the employee’s demanding of life quality has increased and spirit of their inner world has diversified. That has bought companies with new challenges and issues. As the demand of petrol in domestic market is increasing, the overseas business within the industry is expanding. Generally, the work environment of overseas projects in this industry is more tuff and complicated, the employees are facing the culture crash and that has become the main restriction that holds back the companies’ expanding in foreign markets. Based on the research of overseas projects and their employees within the top3petrol firms in China, this article will analyze the integration of diversified cultures and employee’s sense of value under the challenge of technique, funds, project management and international talents issues. The article will also discuss about how to build up companies’ culture that could offer a better platform for overseas employees to communicate within the petroleum industry. The article has adopt some theories in trans-cultural management, emphasis on the local strategy, trans-cultural compatible strategy, culture innovation strategy and training within trans-cultural strategy. The author hoping that there will be a new approach that could improve the political and ideological work of overseas employees within the petrol industry.
