The operator’s performance appraisal became a necessary part of business management should be traced back to the appearance of principal-agent problem. With the development of enterprise productivity and the generation of large-scale, the further division refinement makes it much harder for owners to control the development of the enterprise. Therefore, it is necessary to have professional managers to manage the enterprise instead of the proprietors, the owners and operators were separated. However, the owner and the managers have quite different interests, in the case of asymmetric information, both of them try to maximize their own profits, the tendency of pursuing maximize their own benefits will easily lead to moral hazard and adverse selection. In order to avoid the negative impact on the principal-agent and combine the behavior target of the owner and operator, it is necessary to construct an operator’s performance appraisal based on motivate mechanism. The significance of this research is:The point of view from motivate mechanism is still relatively weak though there are many researches in the filed of operator’s performance appraisal. Finally, the concluding section gives the summary, deficiency and prospect to this research. There main points of this article are:Firstly, the research on operator’s performance appraisal from the view of motivate mechanism is one of the diversified purposes. There are differences in indicator design principles, specific types of indicators, evaluation criteria from operator’s performance appraisal on grounds of other factors. Secondly, in order to reflect the incentive of the operator’s performance appraisal, we should establish the performance appraisal index system in goal setting, the controllable and relevance, environmental analysis.
