Since the Industrial Revolution, urban system and regional economic development are interaction and closer interdependent. Rational urban system plays an indispensable role in the continued orderly development of the regional economy. Urban system refers to the structural relationship between different levels of cities and towns in a certain area, and it is a comprehensive reflection of the level on regional urban development. improvement of the urban system cause the rational connection between urban and rural areas, and promote the coordinated development of urban and rural areas and contribute to the process of urbanization.Chengdu is an important city in the southwestern region, with rapid development of urbanization and industrialization, we must accelerate the construction of the urban system in Chengdu, in the West "12th Five-Year" plan, it Clearly emphasized the leading role of Chengdu in the western area, and the city need to promote the coordinated development of medium and small cities and small towns, and promote the positive interaction of urbanization.Chengdu, as the core city of the southwest region, There is a higher demand for the construction of the Urban System in Chengdu. Urban system as a skeleton of the urban and rural integration, it can co-ordinate the relationship between urban and rural areas.thus.the research of urban system on the urban and rural background has practical significance. In recent years, Chengdu strengthen the cooperation with neighboring cities, and actively integrated into the Chengdu Economic Zone, Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone, which can promote the development of Chengdu.Based on the above background, this paper is titled as "The study on Chengdu urban system under the background of urban and rural balance ",and aim to by using the knowledge of regional economics, industrial economics, urban economics, to comprehensively analyze the construction of urban system of Chengdu.Through the study on Chengdu urban system under the background of urban and rural balance, on the one hand, it summarize the experience of Chengdu urban and rural pilot reform experiments, on the other hand, it provide for the further development, which helps to promote Chengdu urban and rural development and the level on development of urbanization.This study is composed of the theoretical construction part and the application analysis, which can be branched into six parts.Chapter one:introduction.This chapter introduces the research background and significance of the topic, the scope of the study, and sort out from the general ideas and methods of the article.,at last pointed out the innovation and insufficient.Chapter two:Literature Review and theoretical basis. In this part, It analyze the Government, market mechanism, government regulation and social coordination mechanisms for the role of the urban system analysis.Chapter four:the basic conditions of urban system in urban and rural context of Chengdu.in this chapter,it analyze Chengdu urban system construction mechanism,. firstly,it analyzed the basis for the development of the urban system from the process of Chengdu’s urban and rural co-ordination, and socio-economic conditions in Chengdu, then, analyze the mechanism in Chengdu to promote the urban system in the urban and rural background,.
