Accompanied with an increasingly competitive in construction industry, constructionenterprises traditional management approach has been unable to meet the requirements ofcompetition in the market today. Construction enterprises must be meticulous management toenhance the core competitiveness of enterprises. In this process, the construction project costmanagement, because of its directly impacting the costs and the benifits of the enterprise, hastaken the attention of more and more enterprises. However, the traditional cost managementof construction projects have more problems. And most of the tranditional cost managementmethold depand on the experience. So they are standing on an isolated point to study thecost management issues. Thus, these kinds of cost management approach can not beconducive to long-term development of enterprises.Therefore, in order to solve all these shortcomings, this paper introduce a processmanagement view to the tranditional cost management approachs. By introducing processmanagement, we have a great effectivly improvement on the traditional method of costcontrol. In our new methold construction project is divided into multiple stages, and wesystematic analysis of the full cost of the construction project control problems. By doing thiswe establish a construction project cost management model which is based on processmanagement. On this basis, this paper gives the cost control methods in the each stages indetail, and discusses the construction project cost control methods based on processmanagement. At the end of the article, we use a real example to describe our model in detail.This example shows that our model have a great result in cost management.
