Farmers’ professional cooperatives are the rural economicorganizations of farmers attending voluntarily, distributing profitsaccording to their sales share and managed by themselves. Developing inline with the agricultural industrialization and adapted to theincreasingly fierce market competition, Farmers’ professionalcooperatives are of great significance on agricultural production andforms of farmers’ organization on the basis of the rural householdcontract. For example, the development of Farmers’ professionalcooperatives in Qingdao is still in the initial stage, the size of thecooperatives is relatively small and the awareness and abilities tocompete in the market are low. Focusing on the strategic alliance offarmers’ professional cooperatives, this thesis proposes the idea on theconstruction of farmers’ professional cooperatives strategic alliances,in purpose of giving some references and helps on sound and rapiddevelopment of agriculture in Qingdao, with the methods of literatureresearch, field research and systems analysis.The thesis analyzes the background, orientation and significance ofpresent studies, reviews the major content of study on farmers’professional cooperatives and strategic alliances. Then the maincontents、methods and structure of the thesis are put forward andcorrelated conception and theories are defined including farmers’professional cooperatives and strategic alliances. On the basis of theaforementioned study, the thesis gives a brief introduction on thedevelopment of farmers’ professional cooperatives in Qingdao andadvantages, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of farmers’professional cooperatives in Qingdao are discussed, pointing out that Qingdao farmers’ professional cooperatives are of broad and good momentumof development, but due to the constraints of the external environmentand their own conditions, the development of farmers’ professionalcooperatives in Qingdao is still in the initial stage, the ability toparticipate in the market competition is weak.The thesis analyzes the necessity, possibility and constraints on theconstruction of farmers’ professional cooperatives strategic alliances,pointing out that the construction of farmers’ professional cooperativesstrategic alliances are of great advantages, such as promoting theindustrialized operation, achieving value chain complementary, facingthe market home and abroad, innovating production technology andincreasing farmers’ income. At the same time, a lot of favorable factorsprovide the possibility for the construction of farmers’ professionalcooperatives strategic alliances, such as market subject qualification,complementarity of resource, sharing and synchronization of informationneeds and common governance structure and incentive mechanism. However,there are also many restricting factors, such as the agriculturalinformation network and rural logistics network is not perfect, farmers’cooperative consciousness and the abilities to face the market is weakand the situation of funds shortage and low management level is stillserious.Finally, in view of this situation, the thesis suggests that theconstruction of farmers’ professional cooperatives strategic alliancesshould follow the principles of equality voluntary, complementaryresources, value chain and economies of scale and the main steps shouldinclude selecting the appropriate strategic alliances object,formulating a reasonable framework of a strategic alliance andestablishing and improving governance mechanisms. Subsequently, thethesis proposes the security measures of the construction of farmers’professional cooperatives strategic alliances from macro and micro perspective, which include strengthening police support and creditpreferential, improving laws and regulations, encouraging market playersto participate, establishing reasonable benefits distribution system andefficient communication network, carrying out professional guidance andtraining and establishing and improving the risk prevention and sharingmechanisms and so on.
