Since the1990s, China’s peanuts as important economic oil crops,its production and exports to keep the world first as one of the few netexports of agricultural commodities for a long time. Qingdao city as theimportant production and market of peanuts is occupying the importantposition in the trade in Shandong province. But in recent years, especiallysince the financial crisis, the Qingdao peanuts export quantity hasdeclined, and more and more problems exposed the export of peanut tradeand industrial development. In the situation of domestic oil supplyconstraints, intervention competition the surge in quickly, import andexport standard rapidly increasing strict, the RMB continue to rising andthe weaker US dollar,and the global economic crisis, how to developand improve the export quantity and quality of Qingdao peanuts; How tofurther increase improve the market competitiveness of Qingdao peanuts?To solve these a series of problems,it’s need to involve peanuts exporttrade industry chain of scientific research, production, processing,transportation, the inspection, and foreign currency exchange each linkand related departments and so on. This paper had been researched the Qingdao peanuts export tradecompetitiveness from the Angle of regional economics, and talked thefactors of international trade competitiveness of Qingdao peanuts fromthe macroscopic and microscopic strategic Angle. This paper used thetheory of comparative advantage, competitive advantage theory,international competitiveness theory and some related theory ofeconomics, with a large number of data and information andunderstanding information material by analysing the date, to research theexport competitiveness of Qingdao peanuts and it’s product by thecomparative analysis, the empirical research and so on. The main objectof study is Qingdao peanuts and it’s products, including peanut inshell,peanut kernels, peanut oil, peanut butter and warp dress peanut, mainlyrefer to shandong other urban peanut products export situation and thewhole country peanut export situation. It evaluated Qingdao peanutsexport competitiveness on the theory of comparative advantage,competitive advantage theory and international competitiveness theory,analysed of the current situation combined with the detailed data. Thepaper put forward specific strategies on the basis of summarizing theexport competitiveness problem of Qingdao peanuts, such asstrengthening macro policy support, stretching industry chain, cultivatinginternational brand,and paying attention to the product quality and safety, etc.
