Research On The Return Of Migrant Laborers To The Small-towns And Rural Areas

Since the introduction of the household contract responsibility system, the labor in rural areas has been greatly liberated, and much labor force begins to flow between the cities and the countryside. The return of migrant laborers is another phenomenon of rural labor force migration after "the tide of migrant workers". The research on this phenomenon will not only contribute to finding a new effective way for migration of rural labor force to adapt to the new situation so as to drive the development of rural community, but also will push forward the process of new countryside construction of socialism.Combined with qualitative study and quantitative study and based on the related theories and researches and the case study of X town, this article is focused on the selection mechanism and function mechanism of the migrant laborers backing to small-towns and rural areas as well as the relationship between that phenomenon and the development of rural community. It also puts forward an economic and social explanation for the return of migrant laborers.Firstly, this article reviews the related theories and research productions on the flow of rural labor force. Secondly, through the deep analysis of investigation data, it makes a deep discussion on the selection mechanism and function mechanism of that phenomenon. Thirdly, it brings forward some policies and suggestions to lead the labor force back to the small-towns and rural areas reasonably and orderly. In the end, this article concludes the research and points out the extension of the present work.
