This paper recalls the development of software industry and the study statement of it. It also summarizes the domestic management software providers and their products, and analyses Kingdee’s internal resources and external environment. The competition among management software providers is becoming fiercer because of the prompt development and constant changes of Information Technology. And it has become the core and focus of the competition of software management providers, that how to enhance their R&D capability and how to absorb and retain their software R&D personnel. Thanks to its abundant capital, strong R&D team and faithful customers, Kingdee has occupied half of the market share of Chinese domestic management software. But Kingdee is facing with a pincer attack from international management software giant and domestic low price competitors; it must take the differentiation competitive strategy to achieve long-term steady development.Firstly, Kingdee should improve the basic management, create a culture of learning, and finally construct a culture of highly tolerant organization; Kingdee should construct an enterprise information exchange platform, a learning culture, knowledge based management system, and improves its knowledge innovation ability. Secondly, Kingdee is a knowledge-intensive enterprise, and talent is its lifeblood, the key measures are introducing excellent international talents and retaining existing talents. Finally, Kingdee must improve its R&D system, develop differentiated products, concentrate its efforts and resources on the software solutions for various industries and small-and-medium-sized enterprises, and establish Chinese management mode. The above all strategies can make Kingdee’s management software stand out in the intense market competition.
