Stone industry in our country has leaped into the world front rank after30years of rapid development. China has become a genuine big country at the aspect of production, consumption, import and export trade. At the same time, technical researches and popularization about resource conservation, eco-friendliness, industrial chain expansion, comprehensive utilization and sustainable development have been launched already. As an environment-friendly production mode, cleaner production (CP) accord with the current stone industry’s development trend. Promoting cleaner production and cleaner production evaluation has important practical significance.Cleaner production evaluation system is composed of cleaner production index system, cleaner production criteria and evaluation mathematical model. While now, there are no index systems and criteria applies to stone industry. So this subject will draw up a cleaner production index system and the corresponding criteria for stone industry first. The index system takes the quarrying and processing of granite as the research object. It is made on the principles of scientific, comprehensive and continuously improving. In order to set up proper evaluation criteria, some relevant national policies and technical specifications are taken as reference, what’s more, a lot of enterprise survey and experts consulting are also carried in the study. The index in this system covers the whole process of granite quarrying and processing. It can describe the production of granite completely.In order to get a proper evaluation theory, the thesis compares several commonly used theories in various fields from the aspect of practicability as well as objectivity and ultimately selects the fuzzy mathematics as the evaluation theory and synthetically uses the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the indexes’weight. After that, a complete synthesis evaluation model is built up. After that, some technical solutions are put forward in the thesis to solve the environmental problems in granite quarrying and processing, such as high energy consumption, low resource utilization rate, serious noise, waste water and waste solid material problems. These solutions are good guidance for enterprises to take production reform and ensure the feasibility of the stone cleaner production.As MATLAB has powerful matrix calculating capabilities and flexible user-defined functions, it can be used in the evaluation calculate. A synthesis evaluation program is constructed and writes in the MATLAB GUI module. The program integrates weight maintenance, criteria maintenance, synthesis evaluation and other basic functions; it makes the evaluation process standardized and good for the actualization of cleaner production. After the practical application and analysis in a typical granite slab processing plant, the synthesis evaluation system confirms its feasibility.The research provides direction instruction for stone industry to carry out cleaner production synthesis evaluation. The cleaner production technology offered in the thesis can be used directly by stone enterprises to conduct technical reform. It will help to the healthy development of stone industry; meanwhile the research idea and method of this subject will be good reference for the cleaner production evaluation of other industry.This research project is supported by the science and technology plans of Shandong province (Project Number:2010GZX20604).
