By studying development trend and find the core of purchasingmanagement is very helpful for enterprise to improve cost structure and keep marketadvantage.Steel building, as one branch of construction engineering, had been used widely at highrise, ultra high rise and large span building, as well as most low rise building in developedcountries. But its rapid development in China was only at recent20years. As a new industry,enterprise can gain high margin at the beginning by extensive management. However, withsteel building being used widely in many fields, attracts more and more player join in, whichstimulates market to harder competition. Margin rate is also becoming lower and lower.Market player meet great impact and challenge that never meet before. How to keepcompetition on the market? How to keep the margin in uncertain steel market? Of course, itneeds enterprise to focus more on improvement of management. How to reduce the cost thusincrease margin is becoming the key for enterprise to survive on the market. Winning rate ofproject bidding for BBG company had been dropped sharply since2009. In order to achieveoriginal strategy target, sales had to win the project by reducing quotation to customer. Underthe situation of low sales price, material cost determines directly whether the project can gainpredicted margin or not.Based on this background, the paper study purchasing method of BBG company withguideline of purchasing theory, analyze the problem on purchasing management and proposeimprovement suggestion from internal and external environment.Research result of this paper has not only great contribution to BBG purchasingmanagement, but also great reference for purchasing management in other industry. |
