In the knowledge-based economy, businesses are becoming increasingly competitive,the traditional way which rely on production and labor to achieve economic growth and gain competitive advantage is increasingly unsuited to the needs of modern enterprise competition, the business community is at an urgent need to work out new methods to improve the competitiveness of enterprises. The former study found that there is a close realation between knowledge into cultivate a close relationship between the knowledge conversion and the company’s core competitiveness. However,this area has been studied, but there is less research on specific industries, such as the manufacturing enterprises. Manufacturing enterprises play an important role in the national economy. And now the company are aware of developing the manufacturing enterprises to improve the economy.Due to the increasing competition in the traditional economy, the added value created by the manufacturing enterprises is getting lower and lower, or even rely on the resource endowments to seek survival. This phenomenon in Shaanxi Province was obvious.This paper is researched on the manufacturing enterprises in the region of Shannxi province, seeing from the angle of knowledge conversion. By means of quantitative analysis, the thesis is to study the connotation of knowledge conversion, and its impact on enterprise core competence. On the basis of summing up all the former learning results, knowledge conversion is labeled as socialization, externalization, combination, internalization, and enterprise core competence is also labeled as core technical capability, core market capability, core management capability and core cultural capability. This study analyzes the correlations of all the factors among knowledge conversion and enterprise core competence thoroughly.The study adopts the means of questionnaire investigation. According to factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis, we get the main conclusions as follows:1.By the use of AHP,which decides the weight of each indicator,we can get that the level of manufacturing enterprises’s knowledge conversion and core competence in Shannxi province,however,it is at a middle level.2.The four factor knowledge conversion configuration is confirmed to have good structure validity.3.The three factor enterprise core competence configuration is confirmed to have good structure validity. 4.Knowledge conversion has obviously related to enterprise core competence. In the manufacturing enterprises of Shannxi province, all the four factors of knowledge conversion have significant positive correlation with all the four factors of enterprise core competence.5. Knowledge conversion is a positive predictor of enterprise core competence. Among all the four factors of knowledge conversion, different factors can predict each enterprise core competence factor differently.6. The different gender and enterprise nature,as well as different working time, show significant difference in some dimensions of knowledge conversion.
