The social and economic situation in Guanzhong Region has developed by leaps andbounds since the western development strategy has been carried out for10years, but at thesame time the problems caused by land utilization gradually appear. In the new context ofcreating a conservation-oriented society, how to adjust land use structure in order to improvethe efficiency of the allocation of land resources, while reducing land-use carbon emissions isbecoming a practical, pressing and new topic. In view of this, this study takes the total factorproductivity into consideration to evaluate and optimize the land use structure efficiency inGuanzhong Region based on certain economic, social, ecological output and carbon emissionsof land use, and then calculate minimum inputs of various land types, in order to providesome theoretical reference for the seek of "low-carbon and efficient" allocation of landresource. The study is divided into the following seven parts:The first chapter is the Introduction. It mainly illustrates the research background,purpose and significance, research ideas and methods, and innovations, it also describesdomestic and international literatures concerning carbon emissions of land use and land-usestructure briefly.The second chapter is the theoretical basis, methods and models of this study. First, itdefines the concepts of carbon emissions of land use, land use structure, efficiency of land usestructure, low-carbon land use structure, then it describes the DEA and CCR models which isused to estimate the efficiency of land use structure.The third chapter is the structure temporal and spatial variation in land use analysis, itgives brief introduction to both the natural geographical and socio-economic profiles of theGuanzhong region, mainly from the number structure, the structure of regional differences,and the structural order in Guanzhong Region of land use changes in structural dynamicanalysis.The forth chapter is the measurement of the effect of carbon emissions in land use, itaffords clearly methods to calculate the various types of land carbon emissions and carbon uptake, and thus the Guanzhong Region land-use carbon emissions and carbon uptake iscalculated.The fifth chapter is the calculation of land use structural efficiency, it discribles that thetheoretical model of the land use efficiency is constructed base on the total factor productivityCCR model, then use the model measured the land use efficiency in Guanzhong Region andgive the evaluation.The sixth chapter is the land use structural optimization, it analyzes land use structureefficiency invalid cities on the basis of the projection analysis, and then optimizes tomaximize the investment in efficiency-oriented land use structure of the cities of GuanzhongRegion, and meanwhile it combines with around the citys’ new general land use planning toconduct a comparative analysis.The seventh chapter is the conclusions and discussions of this study, it summarizes themain research results of this study and discusses the issues which relate to the need for furtherresearch.
