Northwest China Energy Channels

This paper studies the importance of northwest energy passage development, the present situation and countermeasures problem.After the founding of, after efforts, have been found some big oil field, and gradually realize the crude oil self-sufficient. However, with the rapid development of China’s economy, China’s oil and gas production can not meet the domestic gradually the need of economic development, make foreign import oil and gas resources must be. But because of domestic oil and gas production development lags behind, and the demands of the economy, crude oil imports surged. Since our1993for the first time become a net importer of oil by2009, China’s imports of crude oil dependence has more than50%. In view of the importance of energy security, the state launched the energy passage construction. Among them, the northwest passage from the sea energy because of transport problems, and China’s oil and gas resources of central Asia and rich land directly linked together, and can be through central Asia from the same has rich oil and gas resources of Russia and the Middle East import energy.In this paper, the geopolitical, through the material and literature analysis, historical research methods for research. First energy imports from China the risk of four big energy passage of a simple comparison, puts forward should focus on the development of northwest energy passage, and the northwest passage of the energy development in central Asia, Russia and the Middle East three direction respectively the feasibility are discussed in this paper. Finally how to promote the development of northwest energy passage to put forward the corresponding political, diplomatic, military and economic measures.Although our country resources abundant reserves, but no may also have no necessary to fully rely on their own to achieve energy self-sufficient.
