Currently, a lot of companies named "light company" in the economy market, Either the inputs for the assets or the management,it is well below the traditional enterprise, but the profits of "light company" are very substantial, even profit margin is much larger than the traditional industry. It’s development mainly relies on the operational capabilities of resources and the speed of response, but not fixed assets investment and the expansion of the market, whether in the use of resources or other forms of management, as well as effective support for IT,"Light Company" gives the traditional enterprise of a great deal of shock and revelation. Contrary to the business mode relying on the allocation of resources and the scale expand of production,it tells that streamlining the organizational structure of enterprises, effective using resources, enhancing their core competitiveness and the transformation of the concept of high value-added services or products can help company to achieve lighter development.In the research, this research firstly analyze the content and the motivation of "light-weight", and described the " lighter development " phenomenon, philosophy and competitive advantage, faced with changes in the environment, promotion of information network economy, and the changes from the consumer side, the company needs to do "lighter development" to deal with. The rapid development of information network technology and applications, enables companies to do the transition to the " lighter development "."light-weight" is based on the optimization of the value chain, its business model, mainly due to the strong ability to integrate resources and advanced business processes of the value chain," lighter development" reflect in the dynamic, such as in the process of operation, the value chain is continuing optimization, including business restructuring activities, the main active agents changes, the continuous adjustment of the organizational form, but the ultimate goal is to maximize the use of limited resources, to create the most value. That the enterprises can achieve a " lighter development " depends on the ability of "light-weight" size. For the assessment of the ability, you can clear out the greatest impact factor in the enterprise "light-weight" process, then continuously do improvement and optimization. For the trend of enterprises to become "light-weight", this study proposes three strategy areas:macro-strategy, technology strategy and management strategy. According to the in which the objective the environment of what enterprises is in, assess the capacity of their own "light-weight", find the biggest factor affecting their "light-weight", then select the appropriate strategy to improve the ability of the " lighter development".
