Evaluation Of Aquatic Products Circulation Efficiency Based On DEA In Si Chuan Province

The development of agriculture has a great impact on people’s life. In recent years, China implements the three agricultural policy vigorously and promotes the development of agriculture. As a major agricultural province of the southwestern region, Sichuan Province vigorously develops the local aquaculture in order to increase farmers’ income. However, during the circulation process from producers to consumers, there are lots of problems, such as poor freshment, high loss, high price of products, low income of farmers, and so on. The main reasons for high prices of logistics and transaction costs are extra circulation links and long turnover time. Therefore, studying on the circulation modes and the correspondingly circulation efficiency of aquatic products has important guiding role in improving circulation efficiency, increasing the added value and enhancing the competitiveness of aquatic products.According to the described problem, lots of documents have been read, meanwhile, many enterprises have been investigated, finally, the characteristics of logistics and distribution of aquatic products in Sichuan Province, have been studied and analyzed carefully. In this thesis, there are four typical logistics modes of aquatic products in Sichuan Province, which are "leaded by cooperative","leaded by wholesale market","leaded by processing enterprise" and "leaded by supermarket chains". Distribution theory, supply chain theory have been used to qualitatively analyze the operation status, advantages and disadvantages of different circulation modes. The key factors to slowing the development of aquaculture are weak logistics infrastructures, extra circulation links, backward transaction ways, low information level and inadequate government support.The circulation efficiency can be used to observe and study the operation performance of different circulation modes. Based on the scientific and practicality of the DEA evaluation method, the systematic evaluation index system is established from aspects of the inputs and outputs. In order to acquire relevant data,12representative enterprises have been investigated. Then, the DEA evaluation results indicate that the circulation efficiency of "leaded by supermarket chains" mode is higher than others’, and the shorter circulation time plays a key role in it. Therefore, improving the level of logistics services of aquatic products is considerable important to reduce distribution time, improve circulation status of aquatic products and increase the economic value of aquaculture, so as enhancing the degree of organization, reducing circulation links and strengthening the construction of information systems.
