| Dragon Boat Festival, with long history, is one of the three Chinese traditional festivals,which has related record in Previous Qin Dynasty’s classical book 《Xia Xiao Zheng》.generation and derivation of folk customs such as bathing、Dragon Boat race、 eating Zongzi,all are closely related to the culture of the Yangtze River. In Wei Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the book 《Jing chu Chronicle》 has the most complete record on Dragon boat festival custom. Ming and Qing Dynasties is a revolution period on basic of carrying on previous generation’s custom, dragon boat festival custom gets much new evolution. therefore, It is necessary to synthetically study the customs of the Dragon Boat Festival of the Yangtze River basin in this period.This paper discusses totally Dragon Boat Festival custom of Yangtze river basin in Qing and Ming Dynasty from view of time, space, and type. The whole paper concludes three parts which are introduction, text, and ending. Chapter One introduction is mainly to introduce the elected topic cause and significance of this paper and its academic research and research methods.Chapter Two combings the relationship between Dragon Boat Festival custom origin before Ming Dynasty, formation, development and Yangtze river from the view of time, also focuses analysis on evolutions types and causes of Dragon Boat festival custom since Ming to middle and late Qing Dynasty in Yangtze basin in custom element, connotative meaning, distribution range and other aspects.Chapter Three from view of space analysises the differences and reasons of Dragon Boat Festival customs between Bashu, Jingchu, Wuyue in Yangtze River basin,the differences and reasons between ethnic minorities in the Yangtze River basin,Yellow River basin. Chapter Fourth, from the perspective of type custom of the Dragon Boat Festival is divided into five types including belief, Exorcism,entertainment, food, feast.trying to draw the outline of Dragon Boat Festival customs in Ming and Qing dynasty.Chapter Five analyses the situation of Dragon Boat Festival protection and development from.a realistic point, and offers a proposal on this. From the three levels of Government, academics, civil,it shows that the ancient custom of the Dragon Boat Festival in modern society get better protected and inheritance.This paper holds that Inheritance and variation of Dragon boat festival custom in Ming and Qing dynasty are the results of the integrated effect of factors such as natural environment, national policies, social change, economic development, population movements. Under the different conditions of time and space, all of these factors has different impact on the custom of the Dragon Boat Festival. At the same time, such changes is the result of consolidation and reconstruction between the Dragon Boat Festival day itself and social context,which is one of the evolutive laws of traditional Festival. Therefore, Faced with the predicament that today’s Dragon Boat Festival is fading day by day, we should abandon the traditional thinking which was paid too much attention on itself limitations of Dragon Boat Festival custom.And we should survey the availability of Dragon Boat Festival customs in the current social context from a macroscopic view, which is whether there is suitable cultural soils for the development, rehabilitation of Dragon Boat Festival custom. |
