From a border village of Pingxiang city in Guangxi Province, Pu Chai villagedeveloped into a town size frontier trade market, great changes occurred during theperiod. PuChai-known as "International Trade Centre", was formed from fengvillage,Youyi station of Pingxiang cityin1885, became an independent nature, apart of the traditional village of Zhuang nationality. During more than100years ofdevelopment, Pu Chai experienced a traditional agricultural economic developmentand development of the Socialist era of planned economy and market economysince1978, in different development stages, Pu Chai’s economic structure isdifferent. The villagers in Pu Chai has made important contributions to thedevelopment of border trade, but with the entering of foreign capital into Pu Chai,villagers’activities in border trade became more and more unsustainable. Bystrengthening government leadership, extensively mobilizing the whole society toparticipate in, and greater helping of inputs and the majority of the inhabitants ofborder areas, making border areas and its villagers developed as soon as possible,is the one of the important rejuvenating actions. Through this research, we want toreveal some of the difficulties which encountered on the development of borderareas in China.This article makes the traditional economic structure of the village as researchmain line, analysis its traditional economic structure and summarizes it foragricultural mixed commercial economic structure; then analysis the mixedeconomic structure of produced, features and disintegration, to interpretate how PuChai becomes a border trade Mall from a border village; at the last, explained theliving way of inhabitants. This study adopts the theoretical analysis, field research,documentation collection and collation. Through this research, I believe that: underthe background of foreign capital affiliation in the process of border tradedevelopment, inhabitants are difficult to grow up.
