With the approaching of the aging era and the development of the society, scientific leisure isimportant guarantee to improve and enrich old people’s quality of life during their later years. However, apart from the various aging restrictions, the social, economic and environmental limiting factors may alsoalienate leisure activities or the ones that they want to participate in and improve their quality of life andlife satisfaction. In the base of surveying the present situation of old people’s leisure life and exploring hinderingfactors, this study is designed to find the measures which improve elderly people’s life quality andhappiness. So, the methods of depth interview and questionnaire and two kinds of software—SPSS18.0and LISREL8.7are chosen to utilize. Next, through the descriptive statistics analysis, analysis of variance,Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis, the content can be shown as follows. First, understanding characteristic and regular leisure behavior of the elderly; second, developing the limitingscale of leisure activities, for the propose of reflecting the internal relations among different factors, andverifying whether the leisure constraint model is reasonable; third, analyzing the similarities anddifferences of limiting factors from larithmic perspective; fourth, analyzing the similarities and differencesof limiting factors of different condition under which old people join; Finally, the measures to improveleisure life situation of the old can be concluded. The results of the research show that the indexes of the leisure constraints model of the old are upto the standard, and the model is ideal. The leisure limiting factors of the elderly can be divided into twogroups, internal constraints and external constraints. On one hand, internal constraints and can be dividedinto personal internal constraints, interpersonal constraints and internal structural constraints. On the otherhand, external constraints can be divided into leisure functional, accessibility of leisure facilities and theservice level of the leisure place. Internal constraints can be influenced prominently by age, education, occupation, income level, living condition, health and beliefs. Additionally, age, education, occupation andincome level, faith, and the time they have stayed in the city play a significant part in influencing the external constraints. Also, the time and kinds of leisure activities they participated in can also lead to leisureconstraints.
