With the development of society, the modern business environment of complexity, dynamics, and uncertainty has become increasingly prominent. Under this background, A flexible organizational structure should be should established in order to can adapt to the rapid changes of external environment in modern enterprises. Teams can adapt complex and dynamic change environment. Therefore more and more attention is paid to teams in both management theory and practice. High-performance team requires self-organizing. Self-organizing is a major evolutionary patterns of complex adaptive systems. Self-organizing team is a new type of teams developed by the combination of self-organization theory and team theory.In this thesis, the self-organization theory is applied and the relevant concepts of social norms have combed with the existing theory of self-organization, the social norms of self-organizing teams are studied. The research is a novel study area in the world. It is benefit to follow up the international academic top and to achieve the theoretical break. In addition, the study can provide theoretical guidance for improving organizational vigor and competitiveness.There are four contents as follows in this thesis:Firstly, the studies on self-organizing teams are surveyed and summarized, and the definition and the characteristics of self-organization teams are analyzed. The social norms and their evolution are studies and summoned, the definition of the social norms is given.Secondly, based on the existed theories of self-organizing teams, an empirical study on the norms of self-organizing teams scenario-based is carried out in-depth. Through the analysis of the working process of scenes, the norms are extracted and the evolution is analyzed. Thirdly, based on the mechanisms and characteristics of the emergence and communications of self-organizing teams, the relationship between communications and the emergence and evolution of the norms is analyzed and studied.Finally, the model of the norms’formation and evolution is built up and examined by a specific case.
