The operation and development of all the companies can not ignore communication. Communication is playing more and more important role in today' s organization, and building up a good communication in the organization has become the top priority for all the leaders. However most of organizations still have communication problems which severely affect the healthy development of organizations and even lead to organization disasters. Chuck Prince, the ex-CEO of Citi Group was left his position due to underestimation of bad effect of Subprime mortgage crisis, and the reason is the information was badly distorted when it flowed upward. And the inefficient communication in NASA contributed to the tragedy of explosion of space shuttle Challenger.By analyzing the communication problems of the Sales Department of a Sino-Japanese Company T, the author hopes to find out the main reasons of communication problems in the organization, and make suggestions to improve the organization communication.There are many reasons that are contributed to the communication problems in organizations. Managers who do not emphasize communication or manage base on X-theory will lead to the lack of communication in organizations. Organization culture without encouraging communication and the wrong design of organization structure will also cause the communication problems. The one way communication, inter-cultural communication barriers and conflicts without better communication are also the reasons of communication problems in organizations.Targeting on the Sales Department of T Company, the author makes a deep and thorough analysis on the communication problems faced by the Department and lists out the root reasons. The author also makes valuable advices on the improvement of the communication situation of the Sales Department by taking use of the communication theories and models. The author points out that organization should set up basic communication rules, build up organization culture with encouraging communication atmosphere, ensure the smooth flow of the information from upward communication and draw much attention to inter-cultural communication and so on in order to solve the organization communication problems. In the end, after the consideration and analysis of T Company case, the author makes advices on how companies should improve communication and he hopes the advices can help more companies solve their communication problems.
