An Interaction Analysis Of Industrial Structure Change And Labor Mobility In West Of China

The theory research and practical experience of economic development show that the adjustment of industrial structure leads to the mobility of labor, and mobility of labor also has an influence on the industrial structure to a certain extent. This paper used related theories of regional economics and industry economics, comprehensively summarized the actual situation of industrial structure change and labor mobility in West of China, and discussed the theoretical interaction between industrial structure change and labor mobility.Then argued for their theoretical interaction by the method of Grey correlation degree based on data1986-2010in West of China. The results show that, there is a significant correlation between the industrial structure change and labor mobility in this area and the changing of tertiary industry has the highest correlation with labor mobility. Then, this paper further used VAR model to discuss the actual influence between the industrial structure change and labor mobility, and the conclusions are as follows:industrial structure change have significant influence on the labor mobility, especially the secondary and tertiary industry leads obvious promotion to labor mobility, And the flow of the labor force promote the optimization of the industrial structure to a certain extent, but this influence is relatively small.
