"Residents own their own homes" is our country people’s dream, but in recent ten years the house price continues to raise, the high price for urban residents are difficult to afford housing."Residents are difficult to own their own homes" not only an economic problem, but also a social problem. Housing prices is rising, at the same time, bank residential mortgage loan balance is also rising rapidly. We can’t help thinking house price continues to rise with financial support whether relevant. Between the two are independent of each other, or there is some kind of inherent inexorable law? With this question, this paper chooses the residential market of Gansu province as the study sample, the in-depth analysis and empirical research on the relationship of housing price and residential mortgage loan.Firstly, the study achievements of house price and residential mortgage loan relationship between foreign and domestic are reviewed and summarized. Secondly, we analysis the residential market development status of Gansu province in2001-2010year form three aspects:the trend of house price changes, residential mortgage loan balance and the house market demand situation in Gansu Province. Thirdly, this paper revealed the long-run equilibrium and short-term dynamic relationship between the house price and residential mortgage loan in Gansu province, using the data of Gansu province in2001-2010year residential mortgage balance and housing sale average price, and long-run equilibrium test method and error correction model, Finally, conclusion is reached by analyzing the both intrinsic relationship. Furthermore, this paper provide a theoretical basis and policy recommendations for the government to develop effective housing finance policy and to involve in the housing market moderately.
