The Research Of Economic Factors Affect The Subsequent Development Of Three Gorges Reservoir Area

The Three Gorges Project is one of the iconic projects, in the process of the great rejuvenation of the China, as well as a milestone in China’s socialist modernization. During the process of building the Three Gorges Project, which lasted17years, the problem of resettlement has been the key point and the most important part to the whole project. Now, the research of Three Gorges Project, especially the resettlement for the project, has also attracted a lot of Researchers.Up to August2009, world-renowned Three Gorges Project has been fully completed, which means that the relocation of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area is also drawing to a close. Although the task of relocation has been basically completed, there are still lots of works need to be followed-up about the reservoir resettlement, that means the end of relocation does not solve all the problems of the Three Gorges Reservoir relocation. Considered from the aspect of building a harmonious reservoir area, the subsequent development of the reservoir area is the key to really implement "move out, maintain stability, and gradually become rich"Analyzing the research data, we noticed that more researches focused on the problems that appeared during the relocation, but paid little attention to the sustainable development of the after-relocation period. Considering about the difference of the development level, the solution and policy of subsequent development should be different accordingly. Therefore, the author gathered a lot documents about the ZIGUI County, and listed the problems that affect the subsequent development of this county.This paper focused on the aspects of economic factors that reason to the problems like:economy develop slowly, the poverty of the relocated people, and even the re-relocation problem, basing on the analysis, this paper also gave some solutions which can be treated as the policy to implement the subsequent works of relocation, as well as the theory support to these policies. At the Mean time, the successful experience of Three Gorges Reservoir Relocation Project also brings some reference to the relocation of other region.
