A Research On Yunnan Province Bankcard Acquring Risk Management

In recent years, the bankcard based electronic payment services develop fast, and be widely used in people’s daily consumption and settlement. In 2010, Yunnan Province, the portio of the POS transaction amount accounted for over 29.2% of social retail goods, increased 2% if compared with last year. The bankcard is playing an important role in expanding consumption, improving people’s wellbeing and promoting social and economic development. However, increasing of the bankcard issuance and expanding of card acceptance environment, the risk of bankcard acceptance such as credit card to cash, false applications, account information disclosure, becomes increasingly apparent, which threaten the financial safe of card issuers, acquirers and the cardholders. Although the risk of bankcard acceptance in our province is still in lower lever if Compares with other provinces, the trend of rapid accumulation seriously impact the sustainable development of bankcard industry,which will result the bank card crime, not only disrupt the normal financial order, but also infringe the bank funds and cardholders’ property.This thesis carries out its research and analysis intermsof the bankcard acquiring link, begins by describing the bankcard and risk manage theory; then summarizes the bankcard acquiring market conditions and the risk of acquiring the status, and analyzes the risk of acquiring major causes, the origin of credit card to cash, the risk of current bankcard management systems, analyzes the province’s current status of acquiring and risk management problems; finally, puts forward the risk management strategy aimed at current acquiring risk management problems and gives advices on the risk prevention of bankcard acquiring joint work.
