Study On Soft Power Of Industrial Cluster

China has got a rapid development for more than30years. And with the advancementof economic globalization, the industrial cluster has got further improvement anddevelopment. Now, it’s a key period for the industrial structure adjustment and upgradingin our country. At this critical period, we must fully understand and mining the industryclusters’ soft strength for the industrial structure adjustment. The soft power of industrycluster means that with the cultural、the innovation and the system force formed in therapid development of the industrial cluster,the industrial cluster has the attractive forcefor external resources, has the mining strength for the market demand, has the influencefor the enterprises’ strategy and structure both within and outside the industrial cluster,has the attractive force for both related industries and support industries.First of all, the paper analyzes the connotation、characteristics and the growth cycleof the industrial cluster combined with Potter’s “Diamond Model”. Secondly, the paperanalyzes the influence factors from the enterprise quality, industrial organization,technology innovation, government management, social capital of industrial cluster andthe hard power of industrial cluster. Finally, the paper analyzes the cultivating problem ofthe soft strength of industrial cluster from the production enterprise, technologyinnovation network, the government and the public sector, trade associations andintermediary organizations, financial institutions. And it gets a result that it’s the mainpath for the soft power of industry cluster to put forward the upgrade of industry cluster.And the paper gives a corresponding analysis with the Jingdezhen ceramic industrycluster.It’s the main result to analysis the problem of soft power from the point of view ofindustry cluster and to further broaden the perspective of soft power. It’s obviously thatindustrial clusters play a very important role in China’s rapid economic development. Thehard power is tangible, is objective existence, and can be able to quantify. But theindustrial clusters’ soft strength is very objective, and it’s difficult to measure. Both in thedevelopment of industrial clusters and in the process of economic transformation in China,the role of soft power is equivalent to hard power. And to combine soft power and hardpower together is the only way to realize the leaping development of industrial cluster.
