As society becomes more informational, knowledging, networking, various types of enterprisesare starting to focus on enterprise’s informational technology. Small and medium-sized enterprises due toits specificity, such as lower information technology,lower management level and so on. Since the ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)goes into our country and all walks of life have more emphasis, but in themanufacturing industry, research on ERP applications in the transport industry seldomly. L company is forthe transport sector, ERP seldom problems and on the basis of interviews recommendations to solve theproblem, the main purpose of this paper is to analyze the application of L Company ERP to find out ERPapplication of China’s transportation industry.The use of literature analysis and interviews and other methods as the main research methods, thesearch for the ERP theory and ERP applications, and the comb, on the basis of a comprehensiveunderstanding of China’s small and medium-sized enterprises as well as global ERP applications to ourtraffic industry, L, for example, in the full understanding of the empirical models and organizationalstructure of the L Company on the basis of interviews and field observation for the understanding ofL-company ERP application method and found that the problems of ERP in the application of LCompany. Situation through field visits and observation of ERP applications in the L Company, found theproblems and specific issues, combined with interviews with senior leaders and middle managers,policy-making, L the ERP suggestions.Mainly the following aspects:Firstly, do a brief overview of the current domestic and foreign ERP implementation of the choice ofsubject background and significance of research questions and methods are described, the level of China’ssmall and medium-sized enterprise applications, ERP in its infancy, and most applications in themanufacture ofindustry, so the topic is of great significance. In the second part, the basic definition of theconcept, the concept of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and ERP concepts, development, and severalclassic software comparison and introduction.Secondly,L company, including business philosophy and organizational structure for a simpledescription of the ERP application status and existing problems are discussed in detail. L The company is located in Kaifeng, Henan, belongs to the transportation industry, ERP applications are mainly the lack ofboth technical and management professionals, the lack of upfront investment ERP system planning, lack ofsenior leadership understanding of ERP, employees lack the active application ERP systems, lack of stafftraining and education, the above problems is a major problem.Finally, based on interviews of L senior and middle leadership, combined with the understanding of L,to work out countermeasures for specific issues, including changes in senior management thinking, toincrease staff training, to hire a professional consulting firm, incentive employees to use the ERP system,the recruitment of professional and technical personnel. In the end of this paper pointed out the lack ofresearch and future direction.
