.Since the beginning of the21st century, the support capability of domestic mineral resources has aroused an increasing concern from national leaders. The acceleration of the development of industrialization and urbanization, together with the overall economic and social development in China, leads to a raid increase in the demand for mineral resources. As the demand increases, there calls for a breakthrough in China’s geological exploration. The company of ZJHK is a national geological exploration units, which core business is geological exploration and operation. in recent years the company pay attention to and strengthen the construction of geological exploration projects, increase geological prospecting efforts, but the geological exploration project operation and management can not meet the requirements of the development, the achievement of project is little. In order to adapt to the market development needs, the author uses modern scientific management methods, design and make perfect the operational process and incentive and restraint mechanisms, to improve the management ability of geological prospecting project.By conducting survey and research on its internal operation of geological exploration projects, the construction of the project team, and the team member management and other key aspects that may affect the results of geological exploration projects, the author has well learned the status of the current operation of geological exploration projects and project team management and member management at ZJHK. After finding and analyzing the problems in the geological exploration project management at ZJHK through comparing it with scientific project management and corporate strategies, the author has probed into deep reasons having impact on the team as well as its members in taking the initiative and creativity. Based on modern project management concepts and methods, modern incentive and restraint theories on team and personnel management, and the BSA (balanced scorecard approach) for performance management, the author has developed a sound operational process, a security system of scientific and standardized project operation; In the essay, the author has designed an operation responsibility system for the persons in charge of projects, developed a multi-level incentive and restraint system and mechanism for project team and its members; to inspire the go-aheadism and the creativity of the project team and the members. By means of balanced scorecard based performance management approach, the author points out in the essay, the company will be able to use a more comprehensive and balanced evaluation index to assess the overall operation and operation results of geological exploration projects, to improve the effectiveness of geological exploration projects.In the essay, the author analyzed and researched the existing problems in ZJHK geological exploration projects management, must use the scientific method of project management and implement effective incentive and restraint mechanisms, to change the operation of geological exploration project, stimulate the enthusiasm, creativity and sense of responsibility of the project team and its member, and prevent and improve their bad behaviors and activities, so as to improve the results of geological exploration project, which will lead to early and better results. At the same time, it will lay the foundation for the quality and brand impact for the company’s geological exploration projects and obtain a competitive advantage for the company to forge ahead in the market.
