The Evaluation Of Sustainable Development Of Forestry In Wuwei

Wuwei City is located in the Hexi Corridor, the eastern end of China’s Gansu Province, and their respective districts for the arid and semi-arid regions. The region has implemented of the Grain for Green Project for many years. The article uses principal component analysis through the establishment of evaluation index system, to evaluate the ability of the sustainable development of forestry in Wuwei City.Evaluation System and methods for sustainable development has been systematically studied, pointed out that the use of principal component analysis method to measure the local socio-economic activities, the relevance and value of the forest ecological resources. I Selected SPSS statistical software in data processing, a detailed analysis of large amounts of data to provide a more comprehensive research and analysis for the development of local forestry.The target layer is divided into three subsystems which are social, economic and forest ecology. Use27evaluation indicators to analyze the sustainability of forestry in Wuwei City which respective from the social level, economic level, the forest ecosystem level. And eventually come to a comprehensive evaluation of the value. Drawn to the economic subsystem to maintain a steady growth over the past decade the pace of development; social subsystem in the development by the population, the amount of labor and other indicators of the impact of local fluctuations in the overall rising trend of development; forest ecological subsystem in the development of forestry output value such as the per capita area of forest land under the national and local government support, growing trend in the future will have a good sustainability.On the results of analysis of data obtained Wuwei City in the2005Forestry Development capacity is growing but is not sustainable. Along with economic development and policies to protect forest sustainability in Wuwei City has been significantly improved and the better the trend of stable development of Combined with the original data and analysis in2005. To analyze the problems and the reasons for sustainable development of forestry in Wuwei City, and proposed countermeasures. It will give some advices to study about the development of forestry in Wuwei City one day.
