With economic development, the economy played an increasingly important role in human society. As the smallest individual of the economy-corporates- exercise a great influence on economy, even the whole human society. Therefor, the research on the corporate social responsibility has an important significance.The research based on our economy and society has its unique value and significance. On the one hand, the Western academic definition of corporate social responsibility lacks consistency with China’s current situation. The applicability of the theory need be tested in such background. On the one hand, China’s existing conditions of corporate social responsibility deserves to be anxious, more and more product quality accidents prove that our fundamental interests of consumers and even lives have not been effectively protected. Meanwhile, China’s enterprises are also facing international pressure such as carbon emission criterions.Under such context, the research of corporate social responsibility, especially base on China’s current situation, has become particularly urgent and carry an unprecedented significance.The research of corporate social responsibility has a long history,there have been so many researches and results about this issue. However, due to the differences of theories, methods and samples, there are still not a consensus about this issue:the concept of ambiguity, the impact is unknown, the motivation and mechanism of action remains to be clear.In addition, and the research base on china’s situation is nowhere near enough, the results lack consistency. ALL of these show that at the theoretical level there are still spaces for further research to explore.Based on the practical and theoretical background, the purpose of this study is to explore the meaning and influence of corporate social responsibility in our country, to make some effort for our corporate social responsibility construction; to answer the question that "in the current social context, what is the relationship between enterprises’ corporate social responsibility behaviors and financial performance or competitive advantage?"To answer this question, based on our current social situation we redefined the concept of corporate social responsibility, take the legal responsibility for the first time into analyse frame, after clearly defining content of CSR. We give the theories of domestic and foreign enterprises a brief review, and then established a conceptual model, combined with financial indicators and qualitative judgments, we built an index system. Finally, prove our research hypotheses; choose Hu-Shen general listed companies from 2008 to 2010 as the swatch. There are 337 companies for research after filter.then, used SPSS 15.0 to analysis the relationship between corporate social responsibility and corporate performance through demonstrate and theoretical research.The results show that:[1]. There are positive relationship between financial performance, competitive advantage and corporate financial responsibility of shareholders, government, customers, employees.[2]. There are positive relationship between corporate legal responsibility and financial performance, competitive advantage, which measured by profit index.[3]. There are negtive relationship between financial performance, competitive advantage and corporate financial responsibility of suppliers.[4]. Tthe impact of corporate philanthropic responsibility is not clear.The modulation effect of the enterprise ownership (state-owned enterprises and private enterprises) is confirmed.
