Study On Development Strategy Of Modern Tobacco Agriculture Industry In Yibin City

The tobacco is one mainstay industry in the rural county of Yibin. The development of tobacco-growing is the main part of agricultural industry structural adjustment and the farmer becomes rich a way that approaches well-off.The Yibin tobacco-growing industry was a typical model-"smallholder farming, scattering planting, extensive management"-which seriously constrained the level of tobacco-growing and farmer’s economy income and didn’t fulfill the demand of the first-rate tobacco industrial company before 2008. The State Tobacco Monopoly Bureau made a strategy in July,2007-the transition of traditional tobacco -growing industry to modern tobacco agriculture industry. Therefore, under the crucial condition, a burning question to the Yibin Tobacco Company Management Board is-how to find the company’s strength, weakness, opportunity, threat and make the corresponding development strategy.This paper analyzes the Yibin tobacco industry with knowledge of EMBA course, through integrating theory with practice, SWOT analysis, substantial study and reading relevant paper. Firstly, I reviewed and analyzed the relevant books and theory about the modern tobacco agriculture industry, formed profound knowledge on the subject. The next, I talked about the history and present situation of Yibin tobacco agriculture industry, generally understanding of development on tobacco agriculture. Thirdly, I analyzed the present level of tobacco with the statistical and "SWOT" analysis. Finally, the development of tobacco agriculture in Yibin City’s strategic objectives and strategic decision-making:strengthening infrastructure construction, to improve tobacco production conditions; innovative ways in Land Transference, to scale cultivation increased the level of tobacco; innovating forms of tobacco production organization, to improve the level of tobacco production organization; establishing and improving the professional service system, to raise the level of social service; outstanding scientific and technological innovation, to development of high-quality tobacco to enhance characteristics; implementation of standardized production, to improve the technical level of tobacco production; strengthening the technical training, to raise the level of team building; speeding up the construction of tobacco production information, to improve enterprise management level; strengthening Business Collaboration, to promote the construction of modern tobacco agricultural base unit; implementation of the security system.This paper includes 7 parts. The first part introduces the background, the significance, the research contents and method. The second part cites the modern tobacco agriculture and enterprise strategy theory at home and abroad. The third part is the analysis of the history and present situation of Yibin tobacco. The fourth part is the statistical analysis on the tobacco development in Yibin City. The fifth part is the SWOT analysis on the modern tobacco agriculture industry of Yibin. The sixth part puts forward the strategic decision of the modern tobacco agriculture industry development of the tobacco in Yibin City. The seventh part summarizes this paper’s studies and points out the innovation and disadvantage of the research.
