Warehouse is not only a important part in modern logistic, but also a key link ofmanufacture, currency and consumption, it is playing a important role in nationaleconomic and social life. In order to improve the efficiency of warehouse, it isrequired to optimize the picking system and the storage policy so that we can reducethe inventory cost, decrease the travel transition time and raise the revenue.This paper is based on a real case. With the consideration on the construction ofthe supply chain, this paper presents a design of the layout of the inventory systemand some principle on its work flow,this problem can be divided into4aspects, and is solved by the Depth-First Search(DFS).The algorithm is evaluated in different conditions by changing the sequencing ruleof retrieval queue, the number of product types. Based on simulation experiments,this paper evaluated efficiency of the rule of retrieval queue, which is based on thealgorithm above.
