As an excellent product of the development of modern logistics and automatic technology, Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS), which integrates the storage, transition and distribution as a whole, is an important element of modem logistics. It has developed very fast and represents the current logistics development trend. Storage management is a key link in logistics enterprises, which plays a crucial role in improving logistics efficiency of the whole enterprise. However, AS/RS is also a complex integrated automated system. Its scheduling will directly affects the operation efficiency of the whole systems. In order to improve overall operational efficiency, more effective management should be taken in AS/RS. Goods allocation and stacker running routes should be optimized to reduce the handling and storage costs, the backlog of capital and the time wasted during storing and handling process, thus reducing the entire cost of logistics and improving the benefits. So researches on the scheduling problems of AS/RS have significant value in the field of engineering application.Based on large numbers of other people's research about scheduling strategy on warehouse, optimization of warehouse storage slotting and output-picking is studied, and a logical solution is put forward.The main task of this thesis is briefly described as follows.First, the thesis makes a brief introduction about modern logistics and the development trend of automated warehouse. Based on the summarizing of slotting optimization problem studied by domestic and foreign scholars, the type, physical and functional structure, and unloading operations process of automated warehouse is discussed. The cargo storage principle is proposed for the handling process of automated warehouse.Second, for the position optimization problem of entering warehouse process, an optimization function of storage location assignment is established based on the principle of position distribution to elevate the shelf stability and access efficiency. Based on the method for solving multi-objective optimal problem (MOP), the MOP is transformed into single-objective optimization problem. According to the actual parameter of an appliance logistics center in Shanghai, the function is solved by using genetic algorithms in Matlab and a set of convergent feasible solution is obtained finally.Third, for the position optimization problem of outbound order picking, the picking strategy in delivery process is analyzed based on the study of automated warehouse. A new mathematical function model is established for the goal of achieving the shortest walking distance of retrieval machine. An appliance logistics center in Shanghai is taken as the subject investigated, and the relevant shortest walking path is addressed by using ant colony algorithm. Finally, a set of convergent feasible solution is obtained.
