| To speed up the construction of innovative city and nation, the Central Committee (ofthe Communist Party of China) has promulgated “A Pilot-program Notice on BoostingNational Innovative City Proposed by National Development and Reform Committee†inJanuary,2010which identifies Suzhou, Wuxi and other14cities as the pilot cities in theconstruction of innovative cities. Having consulted the related references and documents bothat home and abroad, I find that some developed countries have already set foot on the researchof constructing innovative city since1990s and attained some achievements.Being a citizen of Changzhou, and having participated in the research project on societyscience guided by supervisors of my university, I choose Changzhou, Wuxi and Suzhou,which are located in the north of Shanghai Metropolitan Area and belong to the Yangtze RiverDelta, as my research objects. This area has the large population, the highest urbanizationlevel, the rapidest economic growth speed, as well as the most visible structural changes, andall of the above can be beneficial to my research. By building the Index System,which offersus a chance to compare the characteristics and advantages of the three cities, can we analyzethe similarities and differences of the independent innovation, Mechanism Innovation andtechnological innovation of the three mentioned cities, and then help to establish thedevelopment strategies of the three innovative cities’ regional integrations and differences,and thus to offer advice and solutions for the construction of the three innovative cities. All ofthe above measures are expected to play active roles in consolidating the status of leading areaon Jiangsu social economy modernization. In addition, this paper also offers some rationaladvice for the construction of the three innovative cities.By collecting and analyzing data on human power, financial resources, patent application,high and new technology industries and technical market, this paper offers25evaluationindexes. In virtue of documents research, the combination of comparative and comprehensiveanalysis, and also by the help of PCA(Principal Component Analysis) and SPSS, can wecompare the analysis results of constructed indicator system model and actual data of eachcity, and thus to evaluate the different levels of innovative ability of cities. This paper aims toreveal the differences between Changzhou and other cities in Jiangsu, and then to analyze thecauses, thus to boost coordination and linkage innovation, and finally to provide the basis forimplementing the strategy of revitalizing Changzhou through science and education... |
