With the development of economy and acceleration of urbanization process, moreand more peasants and residents of small town choose to go out and work in the big city.Today they have been an important driving forces to support the further prosperity ofChinese economy and have made the great achievements in economic construction.Butbecause of the short developing time of real estate in China, the programming andconstruction is not well-deigned and many residents in big cities still have the housingproblem unsolved. Under such a condition, how to handle the housing problem of sucha large amount of migrant workers has always been caught the attention of governmentand scholars. At present, there are some research both practically and theoreticallystudying on the solving of this problem, but these research is not comprehensive and thegovernment hasn’t raised a set of feasible solution.Based on the previous research, making reference to the related research andexperience about lowincome housing at home and abroad, starting from thecharacteristics of migrant workers and their housing, and taking the fundamentalrealities of the country into consideration, this paper proposes an evaluation system ofsolution to the housing problem of migrant workers. It evaluates the several solutionspossibly existing right now and finds that dormitory building is a great solution to thehousing problem of most migrant workers. On the basis of this evaluation system,combining with the current situation of Xi’an, this paper adopts system dynamics topredict and analyze the effect of solving housing problem by means of dormitorybuilding. In the last part, the paper puts forward opinions and suggestions aiming at thepossible problems and shortcomings.
