This paper analyses the development and characteristics of China’s power system,in the context of global warming and promoting low-carbon economy.Then compares withother countries on key indicators, points out the current shortcomings in the powersystem of our country. Analyses the factors affecting the carbon emissions of powersystem. Then introduces the system dynamics models, conducts a scenario analysisto the carbon emissions of power system over the next10years.This paper sets upthree kinds of scenarios:basic scenario,technological progress scenario, and theoptimizing the source of electricity generating scenario.After the adoption ofsystem dynamics simulation,analyses the simulation results.The paper considers thattechnological advances in power system and optimizing the source of electricitygenerating will make a significant contribution to the electricity system, and hasa great potential in cutting down the carbon emissions in the future, and makesrelated policy recommendations.
