HF communication plays an important role in military communications,while the analog HF radio can not meet the increasing requirements of modern military communications. In order to meet the requirements of High-speed transmission and bandwidth utilization in HF communication, a data transmission system is designed based on the wideband Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technique.On the basis of the principle of software radio and IF digital processing technology, an open structure of the wideband HF digital processing platform is designed based on OFDM technique, in which DSP and FPGA are the core part, while high-speed ADC/DAC, programmable digital up converter (DUC) and digital down converter (DDC) are the assistant part. The designed platform has good characteristics of base-band and IF programming, rebuilding and updating due to its block-based structure. Also it has a more robust ability of Digital Signal Processing owing to the using of various high-speed digital signal processors.Finally, according to the requirements of the system, all the modules on the platform are constructed, including the Power, the computer interface and so on, with emphasis on the interface implementation of AD to DDC, DDC to FPGA and DUC to DSP. And the Software configuration of the DSP and DDC is realized.
