The research emphasis of this paper is put on nonlinear character and the problems of electromagnetic interference caused by nonlinearity in vehicular communication system. Firstly, the causing mechanism, impacting factors and interference forms of different nonlinearities in vehicular communication system are introduced in detail, especially the passive nonliearity and passive intermodulation problem which caused by passive nonliearity. On the basis of discussing the coupling mechanism between receiver and transmitter, and combining the characteristics of vehicular communication, some main nonlinear interference problems, such as intermodulation interference and harmonic interference, are analyzed detailedly in following parts. The models for calculating the harmonic interference, intermodulation interference between receiver and transmitter are given via using antenna coefficient to calculate the harmonic power of transmitter from the testing data. These methods are proved to be effective by comparing the simulated data with the testing data. By building the universal desensitization model, the problem caused by susceptivity-descending, which has bad effects to performance of communication system, is analyzed detailedly. And corresponding examples are given in order to validate the applicability of the desensitization model.At last, the design of intermodulation-hamonic module of the software named Electromagnetic Compatibility analysis for vehicular communication system, is introduced briefly. The work introduced in this paper can offer a good reference to further theoretic research and project application for the problems of electromagnetic interference caused by nonlinearity in vehicular communication system.
