HF communication plays an important role in military communications, while the traditional HF radio can not meet the increasing requirements on network capacity and the quality of data transmission in modern military communications. It is of great significance to research the 3G HF communication system. Based on the protocol of MIL-STD-188-141B and combined with advanced DSP technology. This thesis aims at achieving a reliable data transmission in HF channel.Based on the research of the key technologies in receiving of Burst-Waveform on the 3G HF communication, and considering the effects of noise, fading, multi-path and doppler shift on HF channel, receiving schemes with key technologies of the Burst-Waveform are designed in this thesis. Sliding subsection correlation-FFT technique is adopted to solve the signal acquisition problem under the condition of low SNR and large frequency-offset; Correlation-FFT and Conic fitting techniques are introduced to improve the precision of frequency-offset estimation; The method of sliding-correlation is used to solve the problem of symbol synchronization and channel estimation; The warp of A/D sampling is rectified by using an improved interpolation filter for Timing-Recovery. The system is simulated with Matlab, and the results show that the receiving schemes can meet the requirements of 141B protocol completely. Finally, the entire schemes, include sending scheme and receiving scheme, are tested on the DSP hardware platform.
