With the continuous development of science, digital IF in the software radio has become possible, so the design of wideband HF system based on software radio has very important significance.The digital IF processing platform in wideband HF system is studied in this paper mainly. This paper first introduces the theoretical basis of software radio, including the signal sampling theory, digital orthogonal decomposition technique, multi-rate signal processing and high-performance digital filter and so on.Second, for the requirements of data transmission in wideband HF spread spectrum communication system, an open structure of the digital IF processing platform is designed based on software radio ideas and digital IF processing technology. The platform, in which DSP and FPGA are the core parts, uses a special digital up converter chip HSP50415 and digital down converter chip AD6620. According to the system target, we completed the applications of digital conversion units.Finally for system debugging and analysis, through testing, we reached a stage of the design goal. Owing to time constraint, the system was not debugged in real channel, and should be perfected ulteriorly.
