Research On Web-based Systems Of EDM And OM In PLM

As essential means of enterprise informatization, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system plays an important role during development and expansion of the enterprise. Wherein the Systems of Electronic Data Management (EDMS) and Organization Management (OMS) are the basic core of the PLM system, and they are band and bridge for subsystems in the PLM system.Firstly, the concept and theory of the PLM and the functions of subsystems are deeply discussed in this thesis. Then the technical method for realizing PLM system is researched on the basis, and development means such as ER-Win, Visual Studio 2005, MS SQL Server 2000, Dreamweaver and so on are used for realizing development of the systmes of Electronic Data Management (EDM) and Organization Management (OM).With the completion of this project, the following innovative results has been obtained in the research:1. The thesis deeply studies research status and development tendency of EDMS and OMS, and briefly introduces the sources and significance of the subject.2.The basic theory and the main functions of PLM are summarized, and the principles functions, structures and main operation of EDMS and OMS are deeply researched.3. The system requirements analysis, the overall design and the detailed design in PLM are achieved. The detailed designs in PLM are as the following: document check-in, document check-out, document deletion, document searching, document modification, document reference, document classification management, document folders management and document security management ; Department information input and edition, staff member information input and edition, information browsing, information printing and so on.4. With ER-Win, a tool of database modeling, the database of concept structural design and the logical organization design are achieved based on MS SQL Server 2000.5. Based on the .NET Framework, by using C#, JavaScript, XML and the Html language, Web-based Systems of EDM and OM in PLM are successfully developed, and its functions are realized.
