Railway transportation is one of the main modes of transportation in our country, and carbody as an important part of the railway vehicle is not only the object to place people fortransport, and it is the basis for the installation and connection of other components. Theperformance of the car body directly relates to the personal safety of passengers, it must haveenough strength and rigidity. Therefore, in the technical design phase, introducing thestructure parameter design ideas, realizes the parametrically establishing geometry model, thefinite element model of the car body structure and the post-processing, then by adjusting therelated parameters, analysis model can be automatically generated and calculated, thisachieves the comparison of various design schemes easily, so as to attain the purpose of theanalysis of various structure, size, and the load, improves the efficiency of design andanalysis.Based on ANSYS software, uses the parametric language APDL and graphic interfacedesign language Tcl/Tk to create parametric system of the railway passenger car bodystructure in technology design phase. The former is adopted to edit files with parametric orderto complete the parametric analysis of car body structure, the latter realizes a customizableinterface, so it is convenient for design personnel to enter or modify parameters. This systemincludes three modules: geometric model module, finite element model module, staticanalysis and post-processing module. By the simple interface operation, the finite elementmodel of car body structure can be generated fast and then put into calculation. Take staticanalysis of a certain general passenger vehicle as example, tells that how the parametricsystem of railway passenger car body structure in technology design phase works. The resultsshow that this method is efficient, feasible and convenient.The paper further introduces parametric design ideas into the shape optimization design,aimed at the big stress of the corrugated floor in the example, uses the shape and sizeoptimization design of it to improve the mechanics performance of the car body structure. Theoptimization results show that the size and shape of corrugated floor has great impact to thewhole structure, the improved corrugated floor structure effectively reduces the maximumstress of the car body.In conclusion, the application for parametric system of the railway passenger car bodystructure in technology design can quickly do finite element calculation and analysis to carbody structure, and the operation is simple, it effectively shortens the design cycle andreduces the repeated work.
