It is generally believed that the development of anything is a step-by-step or mutationprocess, however, the tipping point of qualitative change which is the transformation strategiccore concern is unavoidable. All the time, researches on the contemporary Chinese mediamanagement do not carry on the crosswise systematic analysis but the mechanical treatmentthat are almost confined to the certain period of time. Furthermore, they do not stand on astrategic height examine the history and orientation of Chinese media transformation anddevelopment. There is no doubt that this is a vacancy and gap in academic sector. The thoughtdetermines our successes, the direction decides our results. Therefore, on the basis ofquestions of Chinese media transformation, the strategy is a principal problem in this researchdomain.In strategic perspective, this dissertation applies political, economic and technical angle andaims to analyze the transformation strategy of contemporary Chinese media management,specifically Clarifying and having insight into the long way to transform from a revolutionaryparty to a ruling party, transform from planned economy to market economy, transform frommono-media to convergence media. This dissertation draws on the lessons of problems of thesoviet model, theory of ideological tool, media cause and industry, through a morecomprehensive and clear grasp to past studies. Consequently, it focuses on the essential lawand unique methods to transformation strategy of contemporary Chinese media management,basing on the theory of paradigm, strategic management of media, and systematic theory.The specificity of transformation strategy of Chinese media management is the specialenvironment and conditions always affect it on the background of the transition of China.Only by facing challenges and seizing opportunities can municipal television station. Today,transformation of Chinese media finds a new way of development in the age of mediaconvergence. Reflecting on the arguments from historical map, it strivesto grasp the scientific accuracy of the future, supply strategic thinking, build the theoreticalframework on the basis of the macro background of the development of the socialist marketeconomy in a great degree. From this perspective, it has great significance.
