Research On The Recycling Path Of Pallets Based On The Pallet Pooling System

The establishing of pallet pool system and achieving the recycling of pallets in the whole society can reduce the use of pallets, especially the decrease of wooden pallets, which is great significance to forest resources. On the other hand, the use of pallets in the whole process of logistics can improve the level of mechanization and reduce of cargo damage and shortage caused by the workers in the process of loading and unloading. The pallet pool system has been in operation for decades in many developed countries. However, the market of pallets is confusion in China, pallet pool system has not yet been established.Firstly, the paper briefly introduces the pallet pool system and minutely analyzes three operating modes of pallet pool system, which are the mode of exchanging, the mode of leasing and the mode of uniting exchanging and leasing. China can choose one or more to realize pallet pool based on the different features of the modes and the situation of China. Pallets can be managed in the process of in-storage, out-storage and circulation automatically based on the use of the technology of RFID, so the efficiency of pallet pool system will improve.Then, in consideration of the recycling of pallets is the key issue for the pallet pool system, the paper analyzes it from the perspective of reverse logistics and points out the path of recycling is one research content of recycling pallets. Given an optimal recycling route model, the paper chooses the Genetic Algorithm and MATLAB as the method to solve the problem. Also, the paper plans the path of a case using the method and analyses the results from several aspects.Finally, combined with the reality of China, the paper puts on several suggestions of building pallet pool system from project research, industry guidance and government support and so on.According the situation of pallet market of China and the pallet pool system, the paper makes a comprehensive analysis of pallet pool system by means of qualitative and quantitative analysis and studies the recycling path of pallets, which is aimed at offering reference for the business of pallets recycling of pallet operation organization and the establishment of pallet pool system in China.
