With the rapid development of information technology, the personnel training mode is no longer confined to the traditional school learning. And also, alone with more sophisticated of portable mobile devices, brought out a new mode of learning-mobile learning, which provides a new way for personnel training. It is different from any traditional mode, it made anytime and anywhere learning come true, and also achieve real autonomy learn.Android is an opening resource mobile operation system based on Linux kernel, which released by Google. After several years of development, Android has now swept the world. This thesis based on Android mobile learning system researches and designs a mobile learning system, and the system is divided into two major parts:the mobile terminal and background management system. The background system is a system of unified resource management platform, and the mobile terminal system to achieve the learning.Firstly, the thesis introduces the research background and significance of domestic and international development and research status of mobile learning. And also the related design theory of this study situational English mobile learning system, including mobile learning theory, constructivist learning theory, situational learning theory, Ebbinghaus human memory curve and so on. Secondly, on the guidance of domestic and international mobile learning application evaluation factors, analyzes mobile learner characteristics and researches mobile learning mode based on the theory of mobile learning theory, constructivist learning theory, situational learning theory, learners’experience. This thesis proposes a theory of situational mobile learning model, and combining with English vocabulary learning, researches the situational creation in the English vocabulary learning, summarizes the contextual information of the system, classifies them and elaborates the collection method. And also, this thesis expounds the processing strategies of each component in the Contextual English mobile learning model. Thirdly, based on the analysis of mobile learning application environment and user characteristics, this thesis combining with situational mobile learning model, designs Contextual English mobile learning system architecture and functionality, and based on the processing strategies of each component in the model, designs the main activities of the various subsystems of the system processes and logical database design. Finally, programming of the key technologies and some functions of the system.
