Due to the large number of telecommunication rooms and most of them are working without being monitored, the construction of the remote monitoring system of telecommunication room can improve the management level of equipment room. This system can monitor some parameters of the room timely, so that it can inform the administrative staff in time and reduce the loss once some abnormal situations occur.This thesis firstly analyses the need of the remote monitor system and then propose an overall solution design of the system.The design of the telecommunication room monitoring system is based on Web development. By means of the browser the administrative staff can complete the remote monitoring on the environment parameters of the equipment room, to acquire the equipment running status and real-time alarm information. Meanwhile, they can also realize the control on the access system and air-condition, such as opening the door remotely, dynamically setting the working temperature range of air-condition, and recording the monitoring data into the historical database so that it can provide scientific basis for the cause analysis of the accident in the future. This system is designed by synthesized using the database technology, multithreading technology, embedded technology, ASP.NET dynamic web technology, network communication technology, the.NET Framework and so on.This system contains two parts:the equipment room monitoring unit and the monitoring center. The equipment room monitoring unit employs the RS485bus to form a field monitoring network. The monitoring unit completes the room environment parameters acquisition and the command execution from monitoring control center. The RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) monitoring programming development is based on C language. The monitoring center receives and parses the real-time monitoring data which is uploaded by RTU, and then records them into the database. It can also provide the information distribution, alarm processing, report management, equipment management, the dynamic curve display and the remote control. The monitoring center needs to develop procedures including data processing services and the Web service application, the development language is c#.The associated procedures of the monitoring system has been completed the laboratory test. The actual test results show that it achieves the desired requirements.
